Digital camera Review: Serioulsy reconsider buying Monster products

I truly wish I could provide a decent review as I had done a bunch of research before buying and was looking forward to using it, but I never really had a chance to use it. Straight out of the packaging several of the outlets simply didn't work. I had to return it (at my expense). While I noticed several other reviewers had commented on intial purchases not working, I thought it was a fluke. Now I realize Monster must have a massive quality control problem. My neighbor returned a similar Monster product (bought at a big box store after I purchased mine) and he had the same problem. For what you are paying you shouldn't have to gamble at all on whether the unit will work or not.
BTW, please review the product's warranty. It won't be valid if you purchase from a non-authorized seller. While Amazon is an authorized seller, most of their market place sellers are not.
Digital camera Review: Solid product but no spectacular improvement

The Monster Cable HTS 200 MKII is a very soild and well built surge protector. From the heavy industrial look of the product to the feel of the switches and plugs, everything is 1st class quality.
I am using mine with a Sharp 32" LCD TV and a Comcast HD cable box with AudioQuest AV cables. I route the TV signals through the unit and experienced no lost of channels as another reviewer had with the HTS 1000.
I especially like the LED voltage and ampage readouts feature. When I turned on the vacuum cleaner in the same room, I can see the voltage drop from 123 to 118 instantly and yet there is no degradation to the picture quality at all.
With all this said, I must honestly confess there is no big noticeable differences in term of picture quality with or without the unit. The grainy look of non-digital channels still give the same grainy look and the digital and HD channels remain the same level of good quality. I think the buyers of this unit or any other high end AV surge protectors should not have false expectation of dramatic viewing improvement but rather think of it as a good solid protection for your AV equipments.
Another reason to consider buying HTS 2000 through Amazon is the price. It is cheaper than what they charge for HTS 1000 at CircuitCity or BestBuy.

Pues bien, para evaluar este producto hay que considerar basicamente que promete y que cumple la unidad de MonsterPower, casi que independientemente de lo que cuesta. Claro, la marca justifica el precio en la medida que asegura la calidad del producto, o por lo menos eso se espera...
1.Electric Surge or Spike protector: Espero nunca tener que comprobar si funciona o no. Les creo, y estoy convencido que este jugete es mucho mejor que tener nada y tengo fe en que esta bien contruido a nivel de componentes electricos.
2. Clean Power,Audio and Video Noise Rejection: La verdad esta fue la segunda razón mas poderosa por la que compre este equipo. Soy Audiofilo 'aficionado', que en otras palabras quiere decir que se es bastante quisquilloso con cada uno de los elementos que conforman tu sistema de audio. No solo el equipo amplificador, sino tambíen la acustica del recinto y por supuesto, la energía eléctrica y el ruido asociado a ella. Para resumir, hice la siguiente prueba: ipod conectado al A/V receiver (Denon AVR1909-Promonitor 600) por un cable stereo-RCA. Modos: Pure Direct(modo en el que se mide la relación Señal a ruido del componente), Stereo/Direct y STD(modos que reproducen ensorround como el 5.1 channel fuentes stereo mediante el uso del DSP). Potencia: 0 db. La prueba se hizo conectando el ipod pero sin señal de audio (para poder escuchar solo el ruido).
Antes del Power Center HTS 2000: ruido molesto para aquellos que somos quisquillosos en el tema, digo, audiofilos..en este orden de menos a más (como era de suponerse): Pure Direct, ST/Direct, STD.
Pure Direct: Ruido apenas notorio-hay que acercarse a los bafles.
ST/ Direct: Ruido notorio desde la posición de escucha.
STD: el ruido es ya molesto. a menos que tengas una conexion digital(Fibra), el stereo reproducelo pure direct. Deja los modos sorround para los formatos que vengan sorround original, videojuegos ó stereo con conexiones digitales al receiver.
Despues de Power Center HTS 2000: Muy a mi pesar, exactamente igual que antes del Power Center.
Nice Features: si, los colorsitos, que lo del telefono, los conectores de cable coaxial, circuitos Switch/Unswitched... todo muy bien...
Pero en conclusión no lleno mis espectativas a nivel de Filtro de ruido en sonido. Incluso en el video tampoco pude detallar diferencia en la calidad de imagen, pero bueno, no la estaba buscando tampoco...
No sé si la fuente de ruido proviene del cable Stereo-RCA ipod. La magnitud del ruido es proporcional al modo en que se reprodusca, lo cual indica que cierto nivel de ruido (que de hecho es la relación señal a ruido) es inherente al sistema amplificador receptor (AVR).
Finalmente, da tranquilidad tener este equipo como un plus para protejer tu inversión, y no me arrepiento de haber comprado este equipo ni de haber invertido lo que costó. pero tampoco puedo decir que mi satisfaction level es de 5 estrellas...Les doy el beneficio de la duda en el sentido que el ruido existente puede NO provenir de la corriente electrica, sino de la interface entre el AVR y la fuente, o incluso el AVR mismo.
conclusión: Construcción, seguridad-Protección inversión, confianza, funcionalidad y Nice Features: 4 Estrellas.
