I swore for the last 20 years that I would never pay the outrageous prices Monster charges for their cables. The whole superiority thing is a myth. However, in this instance, I needed cables with a 120hz capability and these seemed to be the only ones available. They retail for $135 but I got them here for a lot less. These cables are VERY expensive...period. Not just comparing them to other cables that do the same thing for $85.00 less, but comparing them to anything. $100.00 is a lot of money, still these days. And they (the cables) don't work. They provide a digital picture but they don't show a sharper, more colorful lifelike image. They look just like the $10.00 set. So if I'm spending $85.00 or $90.00 more on them, what am I getting for the extra money? Nothing. I'm spending more for no more. That translates to "them doing nothing. What does all this mean? They are a waste of money and you'll have to do without 50 gallons of gas or no renting movies to watch. It's even so bad that when they hit you for the HDMI 1.4 or 1.5 you won't have the money for them cause these cost you too much and now you're broke.Digital camera Review: Complete Ripoff

Like most audio/video-philes here I decided to spend some cash on the HDMI monster cable hoping to maximize my viewing pleasure. Well, if they have a case for analog cables (I'm starting to doubt it) it's complete rubbish for digital signals. It either works or it doesn't. This cable is no better than any generic HDMI cable. I have no idea how Monster can charge such a ridiculous amount when a generic cable will provide exactly the same quality video / audio, but apparently they can get away with it. Seriously, stay away from this overpriced garbage.
