Digital camera Review: Streaks won't go away, right? Here's some advice...

My experience using this product on my Samsung LN52A650 was a complete nightmare. I contacted Samsung directly for a suggested cleaning method, and Monster's ScreenClean was their only authorized recommendation. Yet, I had the same problems others are describing: the streaks wouldn't go away! After several attempts over a week-long period, my display became a streaky, foggy mess! And to make matters worse, the streaks had that greasy, filmy rainbow tint that you often see when oil's on water. As a result, I seriously began to think my display was reacting badly with the solution. However, I was eventually able to get the streaks down to a minimum by continuously wiping and wiping and wiping. I don't see them at all now.
My advice for those experiencing this same problem: think of it more like you're polishing the screen rather than cleaning it. Focus on specific sections, and keep your polishing as focused as possible to avoid overlapping into areas already completed. Also, the customer service rep at Monster was very attentive and mentioned that the cleansing ingredients may separate over time... so be sure to vigorously shake the solution before applying it to the cleaning cloth. That may or may not help. But honestly, I thought I was going to have a heart attack at the possibility of a $20 cleaner destroying my $2000 TV... And the worst part is, it really didn't even need to be cleaned in the first place.
However in all fairness to Monster, aside from the difficulty in removing the streaks, my screen now looks crisp and clean. I haven't yet found or tried another product. But I can tell you this, my screen will have to get pretty dirty before I attempt to clean it using this method again.

The product works as advertised. For those getting streaks you are most likely using too much. A little goes a long way. I just cleaned my 32" HDTV and two 15.4" laptop monitors and not a single streak. Just crystal clear displays.
The only downside is that the product is a bit pricey but in its defense you do get a good sized bottle that should last a couple of years of weekly cleanings. The microfiber cloth that comes with the set is nice and should last for a bunch of cleanings provided you don't let it get dirty in between cleanings. What I do is store it in a zip-loc bag. Worst case you'll just have to get some extra microfiber cloths. They can be found anywhere and cheaply too.
So, bottom line, great product, pricey but worth it. Just don't use too much. That's the key to crystal clear screens.

I purchased this product through the recommendation of a colleague. The Monster ScreenClean Kit is absolutely great. I use it VERY sparingly with the included cleaning cloth. When used as per instructions, one does not unfold the cloth but uses one side to clean the screen with a small mist of solution sprayed on the screen. All the dust and other contaminants come off immediately.
Finally, wiping the screen off with the other side of the cloth (dry side) makes the screen come up like it was new. I have one display that was damaged when it was lent out. I noticed that after cleaning it, the scratch on it was actually less noticeable than when I started cleaning.
The solution boasts to be alcohol-free, which is really important in protecting the display for years of service. As for the price, I purchased from Amazon.com for the best price. Although it might appear to be a bit pricey, the fact is that when used according to instructions, it will last for many, many months. An electronic superstore in the area uses this very product to clean ALL of their displays, computer and TV's. They use one bottle in 3 months...amazing, considering how many displays they have.

Digital camera Review: No Streak Cleaning Kit

Usually using eye glass cleaner, I was looking for a little more powerful of a cleaning solution to take care of my LCDs without streaks. I figured I'd buy a cleaning kit hoping that a display cleaning kit could clean up some of the dirtier spots of a screen. This kit has done this perfectly.
Not only does it work on LCD screens but I use it on everything else including my mobile phone and sunglasses. It dries extremely quick and cleans everything in a couple passes with absolutely no streaking. The bottle size is quite large as well so you may not have to buy this again for a while. The cloth that comes with the kit is a standard microfiber cloth you could find at any retail store.
The only downside is this kit is expensive. Monster products are always overpriced and this one is no exception. However, if you want a product that is going to clean the toughest spots on your electronics without streaking then this is the product the spend a few extra dollars on.
I may try cheaper brands next time but this one was reviewed highly for a reason.
