Digital camera reviews of Monster iCarPlay Wireless FM Transmitter with Auto-Scan for iPod

Digital camera Review: Better than most FM Transmitters
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this for my brother to use with his older Ipod Mini. It was not compatible but it did work with my new iPOD nano, it tells you the best station to use on the FM radio and you can programm FM presets in case of static. I returned this products to get my brother one that would work with his ipod (Kensington 33384) and I also bought myself the Nissan ipod adapter so I can control my ipod from the steering wheel.

Digital camera Review: Bummed out about this transmitter
Summary: 2 Stars

We bought this transmitter for close to $100 after trying out a cheap Belkin model that didn't work well. We thought that you get what you pay for, so it was time to pony up. I'll agree with other negative reviews about the reception being bad, and since I'm usually using this when traveling across the state, it would be nice if the change-station function was more user friendly. But worst of all for me is that I now have an iTouch, which will not display the station on the screen. It still works, but changing stations on the transmitter and making sure the radio correlates is close to impossible.

Digital camera Review: Caution: Not compatible iPod Touch models
Summary: 3 Stars

What a great concept...Auto-Scan! I am posting this because there is no mention in the technical data on Amazon.com that the on-screen features don't show up on an iPod Touch. After buying this from Amazon I plugged it in as directed and was quite disppointed. By using the scan on my FM radio I was able to find the iPod's signal which was very strong. Thinking that I had a defective unit, I called Monster customer service who informed me that it was not compatible with this generation of iPods. It gets 3-stars because it is 5-star technology with 1-star compatibility with my iPod. I love the technology and would probably buy the next model if it works with the Touch.

Digital camera Review: Cuts out and background static!!!
Summary: 1 Stars

I am returning this product because lack of quality sound output. There is a lot of static in the background when the songs are at low volume and when the music is paused, and when the units low signal strength gets lost the sterio will play horrible static that is twice as loud as the music that was being playing. I used the auto scans prefered "stations", but they did not work any better than the manualy selected ones. The buttons on the unit are not repeatably responsive, meaning they would not work all of the time. I was expecting a much higher quality product from Monster Cable!!!!

Digital camera Review: Defective
Summary: 1 Stars

It stopped working 2 weeks after I got it. The display goes back and forth between OK to disconnect and Playlist. Buttons for search and the toggles don't function either. It is a great idea. Poor product.
