The ICarPlay Wireless FM Transmitter does work as advertized. Very simple to use, just follow the directions. I had similar products in the past that used FM stations, but none come close to the strong signal broadcast of thie iCarPlay. Works great in my car and was 35$ cheaper than off of the Monster Cable website. However, my car's reception on it is a bit fuzzy when I put my iPod in the console between the seats. It works great when I place it on top of my dashboard. Also, I received it about 5 days sooner than the earliest expected date of delivery.Digital camera Review: Great Unit

I actually purchased this item years ago and had paid $100 for them. Since that time, I purchased cheaper items and found that they only worked for a month or so. I ended up purchasing a couple extra ones. Yes the lighter adapter is large but it does a great job.
