Works pretty well, I live in so cal, so that can be an issue at times. Only really problem is that every now and then when the ipod has been on for a while, the ipod and transmitter suddenly stop working and the regular radio comes on, you then have to disconnect the unit from the ipod and replug it back in.Digital camera Review: Great idea........doesn't work

Apparently Monster has some real quality issues, this is my second bad experience with their products. Unit intermittantly stops transmitting, have to unplug to reset. Autoscan......great idea....needs more work. 120 sec to scan and you still have a busy station. Amazon was great on the return policy though, prepaid shipping.
Rec'd replacement unit from Amazon, same issues. Tried with two other iPods, no improvement. Returning for refund.

I bought this iPod transmitter for my wife to use in her vehichle. So far, it has been rock solid. The auto-scan feature located a clear channel, and it works just as advertised. The sound quality is not quite as good as the set up in my truck, but I paid about $200 for an adapter that connects between my XM receiver and my factory head. Considering the price of the iCarPlay, I consider it an outstanding buy!Digital camera Review: Great product, but....

While the benefits sited in the other reviews I agree with, here are 2 showstoppers for me.
When power is applied it automatically starts playing. I like control, and I hate devices that assume what it is I want.
But the really rotten issue is, for most iPod mounts, like my belkin tunedok and Nyko Universal Car Mount you will need a sendstation dock at about $30 to extend the connector past the dock slot. Some designer was not thinking!
Finally, when you shut off your engine, it keeps playing - unlike the iCarPlay Plus , which stops the play. If you are gone for too long, your ipod battery will be dead.
Look at the Monster iCarPlay Plus instead.
