Digital camera reviews of Motorola MOTOROKR S9 Bluetooth Stereo HeadphonesDigital camera Review: From Great, to Good, to Okay, to WORST? Summary: 1 Stars
I thought I made a good choice buying the S9, but I was wrong. I have an iphone, so buying a bluetooth headset was only a matter of time. I only used the S9 about 20 times, but the second time I used it, I notice the red rubber from the inner side was falling out of place. I ignored the problem with the red rubber because it had nothing to do with the functionality of the bluetooth and stuffed it back in every time. Probably the forth time when I used the S9, I notice the "M" for Motorola fell off(probably because of cheap glue), not to mention the red rubber keeping falling out every time. Then, on the tenth time, I noticed a battery problem when I no longer can charge over night and the battery drain itself as soon a I unplug from charging. From then on, I have to use the S9 right after charging, instead of charging it a day ahead. On the twentieth day, when I was wearing the bluetooth, all of a sudden the whole ear piece pop and fall out. There was no way to put the earpiece back on, because the wire had been disconnected (it seemed they used glue gun). I'm a tech dude, so I know how to keep my gadget new all the time, but never experienced anything of this poor quality.
I hope the product I bought from Ebay is a China replica and not the real stuff, but it look identical to me. Other than its durability and battery life issue, the S9 works perfectly well!
Digital camera Review: Functional Summary: 2 Stars
Well, it works. It connects well at short range (of around 10 ft) and does remember its most recent connections (1 for each mobile and HQ audio source). The hands free remote control options are also very intuitive and easy to get used to, as the most frequently used functions get their own dedicated buttons.
Issues I had with it was that first, it does not mold itself. It is made to stay in that shape, so if you do not fit perfectly into it (which you won't), it will always be awkward and try to slide off. It also is rather tiring for the ears.
Also, the sound quality is not ideal. There is a treble quality to music and a lack of bass. Also important to note is that, as it does not fit well and does not have noise cancelling, it will be difficult to hear anything in noisy areas such as on the streets or in a restaurant.
I should also mention that battery life is disappointingly short at 6 hours sharp. No longer, no shorter.
Although the behind-the-head design look space-age for the first hour or so, you soon will realize that you can not lie back against a headrest or pillow. Well, it is a pair of headphones designed for sports, I guess, so they did not worry about that too much. However, it fails at even that as it weighs down your ears, does not fit itself to you, and the back flap (that covers the recharging port) does not like to stay closed (is flimsy).
All in all, I would say invest your money somewhere else. Like the iLuv i913.
Digital camera Review: Garbage Summary: 1 Stars
The worst piece of garbage I ever purchased. For the most part, the gear kept cutting out and in, and simply touching the unit would severe the connection! I buy a lot of technical stuff, and this by far was the worst and most problematic.
Digital camera Review: Garbage Summary: 1 Stars
This headphones broke within a few weeks. If you sweat any at all dont buy them. Complete waste of money.
Digital camera Review: Good All Around Summary: 4 Stars
Comfortable to wear, easy to use with good sound quality. My headset stops playing music for about 1 second every 1 minute or so. Just seems to blank out. I am not sure if it is just my headset but or if others have the same issue. I know it is not my phone because I have other bluetooth headsets and the don't blank out.
