Installed in less than 45 minutes. I have it connected from the box outside and it works fantastically! I couldn't even get a signal from my comcast box for High Definition and once I installed this HD is working like a charm! One of the worst things about living in a city with only one cable company is that you deal with whatever service you have. Let's just say my city's is horrible. Ever since they introduced internet and phone services over the cable line I've had problems with a number of our channels...but a lot of the problems would only occur on weekends...same time period their tech people can't come and check it out. Anyway...this booster solve pretty much all of my problems...channels that would fade in and out are now coming in with no problem...can order videos with no problem...and most importantly - ALL of my channels are now coming in clear...something that's NEVER happened since I've had cable. If you're having problems with your cable service, I recommend this device...especially if you can get on sale like I did...it would have been worth $100, but was a major bargain at $60.Digital camera Review: A signal booster that actually boosts the signal

This is the first signal booster that I have ever bought, and I have bought plenty of them over the years, that actually works. It took a fuzzy, snowy picture on the television in my bedroom and made it crystal clear. I like the way that a piece of coax cable is used for the power cord also. I have bought a second one to use to try to get any antenna to pick up digital over the air broadcasts and it actually got me a couple of stations. The Motorola Signal Booster 484095-001-00 Bi-Directional RF Amplifier
performs very well on my cable installation. I have all three services which means that the incoming signal is split three ways. I was seeing picture noise on the t.v. with the longest cable run, some pixillation on the t.v. connected to the box, and some telephone glitches that could have been anything. I decided to try the product and it has solved all of those problems. I installed it on the line entering my home so that all the signals would be boosted. I recommend it.
