I live by the beach, so my cable modem has always had spotty reception. After installing this cable signal booster, I've had no internet interruptions at all. The booster needs power, so I had to figure out how to route a cable for the power to the box, but once I did that, it worked like a charm. Prior to purchasing the Motorola amp, I purchased and installed the TERK AMP-15, which worked very well (until the cable company did a disconnect recently and apparently short-circuited the input). Upon reconnecting my cable service, the cable-tv tech noted that my TERK AMP-15 was no longer working. Rather than just order another TERK, I decided to check the alternatives. Checking the specs, I noticed the Motorola Signal Booster is a similar product, however the specs are much better (2.5 dB max Noise Figure vs. 3.5 dB max for the TERK) and the Motorola uses the most advanced technology available (Gallium Arsenide). Also, the Motorola amp includes a 6kV surge resistant design (meets the 6kV IEEE C62.41-1991 and 1 kV Combination Wave surge for all ports). I did not find surge protection mentioned in the TERK spec. Another difference is the Motorola provides a slightly wider bandwidth (52-1000 MHz) and operates at lower dc voltage (12VDC). These differences indicate a highly refined circuit design, so I expect a much more durable, worry-free product. Nice going Motorola! This signal booster worked better than anticipated. Any booster you normally see in an electronics retailer is worthless. Buy this product instead. Not only did it improve the picture quality on my Tivo Recordings, the internet cable on the same line actually worked in all of the other rooms of the house. This one draws power from an electrical outlet (you plug it into the wall and the cable) and kicks major backside. Highly recommend!Digital camera Review: Best Signal Booster !!

I purchased this signal booster to push the cable signal approx 300ft from my house to the barn. Before installing the booster I was unable to receive any channel above channel 8 at the barn. Now it goes all the way to channel 70 with a great picture. I could not believe my eyes when I seen the dramatic change in picture quality. This device is amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone having trouble with a snowy picture or trying to send the signal to multiple TV's. I have not tried it yet with my Comcast Cable WiFi due to there is only only one output. I am planning on purchashing a second booster for this purpose. Also this booster is very simple to install and comes with everything required to install a single signal boost. Buy this and you won't be dissapointed !! Was about to give up on the antenna and go with cable or satellite and then I saw this product and gave it a try. It worked. Plain and simple, it is better than the other two boosters I tried.
