Digital camera reviews of Motorola Signal Booster 484095-001-00 Bi-Directional RF Amplifier

Digital camera Review: Big Boost
Summary: 5 Stars

This boosted the number of stations I could pull in on my antenna from 19 to 33. Easy to install. Very satisfied. Beats cable!

Digital camera Review: Boost Cable for Digital On Demand + Cable Internet
Summary: 5 Stars

When I had Comcast Cable installed in my house a few years ago, the installer said that the wiring was old and may need to be replaced in the future for the higher bandwidth needs for cable Internet and On Demand HD. The previous owner had used an amplifier as well, but a one-way signal for standard cable. After getting errors on my digital cable box (no problems on the Internet side) and replacement boxes (the repair techs didn't say anything about weak lines, just replaced the box) I decided to try a 2 way amplifier. I recently purchased a HDTV and was hoping to enjoy the HD on Demand movies Comcast offers.

Sure enough, after installing the booster (in the attic, then splitting the signal 4 ways after the boost) I am not having any problems getting On Demand HD in the living room, On Demand SD in the bedroom and Cable Internet in a spare bedroom/office.

Easy Installation, definitely worth the price. Quick shipping from Amazon, definitely 5 stars!

Digital camera Review: Boost it right
Summary: 5 Stars

After reading consumer reports on the best signal booster that would work for my Cable Modem I was plesantly suprised at the ease of installation and the reception imporovement.

Good product. Worth the money.

Digital camera Review: Boosted HD Signal!
Summary: 5 Stars

I hope this is helpful for some people. I have Cox Cable in LA and have the Motorola DC6200 cable box, I have digital and HD signals running to my previous 55" rear projection tv and all was well. Recently I decided to upgrade my TV to a Plasma and had to switch the TV to the other side of the room (for flat wall) to hang Plasma, it is there that I ran into a distance problem. I had no signal on most stations except the local stations and the picture quality was snowy.

I looked around for a signal booster and found this Motorola booster, I bought it from Amazon and installed it at the entrance cable line feed. In other words in my attic, where the signal from cable company comes into my home. Then from there split the signal off to my two tv's (Plasma included) the other tv was downstairs and further. I would say one has a distance from the booster of about 50ft and the other of about 75ft. After getting it all connected I was pleased to find that the Plasma was now receiving the HD signal and had greatly improved the standard signal as well. Now I am not saying it improved the standard signal to digital or HD quality, just improved the picture to make it softer and more natural looking on the plasma.

Funny thing is it did not improve the signal to the bedroom tv, but then that tv is farther and not running HD, so I guess in the long run it improved the TV I was concerned about so I am happy with this purchase and would reccomend to anyone.

Digital camera Review: Boosted Signals and added digital and HD channels
Summary: 5 Stars

I just bought a new HD TV and was having terrible signal. Ive terrible cable coming in to my bedroom it was installed in 1996 so it is older cable and split many ways. I installed the signal booster and too my amazement my TV picked up digital channels and HD channels. I only can see digital music channels and ABC, NBC, CBS, TBS, and PBS in HD. I think I can pick up all the hd channels if I am closer to the source, which I will try eventually. We are paying for the Digital and HD Service from Time Warner. The TV I am using the olevia 227V.
