I bought this to be able to mount my Zumo 450 (motorcycle GPS) in my truck combined with a 6" Ram arm. It was a complete success. The suction cup is sturdy and even driving on some rough roads the GPS moved very little and I have yet to have the suction cup fail.
I even recently used the suction cup to hold up a DSLR camera on the gas tank of my motorcycle. As with all the Ram mounting equipment I have it is sturdy and dependable.
