I purchased this for a web business- we really needed something to take great white background pictures for our site. Upon setup, it's basically a few pieces of curved fiberglass. We bought the "biggest" version for $638, with pretty high expectations. Unfortunately, it was a bit of a disappointment.
The lighting for this seems to be just way too dark. We even upgraded the camera, separately, to a Canon Rebel digital SLR. The pictures turned out way too dark, and it was impossible to take pictures of things like sweatshirts because there was no overhead way to see it. Eventually, after taking many pictures, using extra light sources, etc, we returned it- it just didn't seem like good value for the money.
