Digital camera Review: IT'S SMALL!

I think this was the smallest gig switch I could find, so I bought it. I've owned several other Netgear switches and have really liked them. This one is no different - works as advertised straight out of the box, although a bit warm as many have mentioned (a Netgear feature). All ports are on one side, and I like the fact that it has mounting holes and hardware that permit you to hang it out of sight so all that cable mess can stay off the top of the desk. Mounted with the ports facing down, all cables come up into the box neatly so I didn't experience any cabling issues as some have mentioned. Two thumbs up!Digital camera Review: It just works

I have alwasy liked the Netgear line of Metal enclosed switches. True to it's description, this family just works. It never locks up (unlike some other D-link and Linksys switches) and the power consumption is almost unmeasurable.Digital camera Review: It works- what else is there?

I like the solid case of this switch.
I do not like that the ports are on the front - if you are like me and want to mount this under a shelf... 1) everything is upside-down and 2) the cables have to come from the front and wrap back around.
I would like to see the ports on the back and a removable faceplate where you could swap it depending on your you are going to mount it.
Also, when mounting under a shelf, there are no feet to create a space for heat.
