Digital camera reviews of NETGEAR N600 Wireless Dual-Band Gigabit Router WNDR3700Digital camera Review: 5g Summary: 3 Stars
I don't have much to add b/c I returned it after 30 minutes. On paper its an awesome router and I'm sure that's true in most cases, but the 5g band's range is less than 50 feet. So I bought and ran a 50 foot ethernet cable for 21.99. I really liked the idea of setting up a home network with the shared storage via the usb port. However I originally took the plunge to stream hd netflix to a samsung 3600 on the 5g channel and have my laptops on the 2.4 channel. I returned because at a buck seventy, it better damn well blow my hair back and it didn't. Such high hopes too...
Digital camera Review: A Blessing for the Novice Summary: 5 Stars
My first wireless network, and I was nervous about picking the right router. I'm so glad I got this one! Simple to set up, easy to use, turns my entire house into a wireless network. Love it! Love it! May cost more, but worth every penny.
Digital camera Review: A Few Kinks Summary: 4 Stars
I am pretty satisfied with the router, but it does have its problems. The main thing is that it sometimes kicks people off the network when there are about three or more devices on it. One or two will stay connected, but the others will have to reconnect. It's not because we (my father and I) move too far away; we don't even move. It just decides to boot a couple of our devices off now and then. It's not a huge issue, just a little inconvenience. When it is connected though, it works very well. It really helps us get the most out of our comcast high speed connection, which our previous router didn't. It's range is pretty good, which is a big part of why we made this upgrade. The price was a bit high, but well worth the quality. Overall, I'm happy with it and I would recommend this to most anybody.
Digital camera Review: A bit expensive, but in the end an awesome true dual-band router Summary: 5 Stars
Pros:
-Quick and easy setup: easy to use, intuitive and powerful. Firmware updates went smoothly.
-Good looks: router looks very sleek, shiny and powerful
-Performance: FAST. Both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz N-band networks are blaaaazing fast!
Cons:
-Price: a bit on the expensive side, but is about right for a true dual band router based on the competition (Cisco, DLink, LinkSys, etc)
-Performance - 5GHz range is kinda weak, but only while using Windows 7, Mac OS X always has full bars.
-Summary: Performance is great! Clocked over 18Mbps download speed from [...] (with Comcast). Web browsing is VERY noticeably faster, gaming - always have full bars and no lag (yet) using MW2, have not tried any torrents yet but I am sure I'll see a speed improvement.
Bottom line - if you have the need for a true dual band home network like I do and are willing to invest a bit more in a top of the line kick-ass router, than get this!!
Digital camera Review: A great product Summary: 5 Stars
I have had my wireless router now for several weeks and it was very easy to set up and use. I have not had any connection problems and it starts up when I turn it on pretty fast. I have no problems using it for multiple wireless electronics at the same time. It has all the features that one would like to have all in one router. I checked another website to make sure I got all the necessary things in my router to do everything I needed it to do and have great safety incoding too. All in all this is a great router everything all in one router!
