Digital camera Review: Works with MAC and PC at the same time

Very good product, it is super quiet and works great backing up both my MAC and PC. I haven't used the Itunes server function but I am using it to keep a back up of my digital photos so that I can keep them on the back up drive and have access to both computers. Both my video game systems see the ReadyNAS and can stream straight from it.
I currently have it paired with the WNDR3700 and it is super quick to back up and move files back and forth; but that is what the router was designed to do.

I normally don't write reviews for anything. But after spending hours with people obviously operating in India (Netgear does have 24/7 support, but I don't know whether they outsourced all the technical support or just the after-hour), I feel entitled to comment briefly on the level of support you can expect.
Support line? What support line?
The people on the other end of the phone sounded so high-school with their knowledge of the product it's laughable they call themselves support line. I was kicked back to a different line after trying their main line and the 2nd guy said he only offered paid service. Kicking me back to "level 1 technician", he transferred me to a number where I was asked to call the main support line AGAIN, coming full circle. I called nevertheless in frustration since that's the only free support line I could get (After 90 days, all phone service for Netgear products will incur costs, even the main line). The guy stayed with me for eternity and I tried to explain to him the symptoms 3 different ways but he kept asking me unrelated questions, which he seemed to simply check off some cheat sheet. He put me on hold a number of times to confer with someone else and eventually was only able to give me the excellent advice along the lines of try everything in the frontend and call back if the issue persists.
No-good forum
Netgear does have a forum for their ReadyNAS products, but it is badly organized and nearly impossible to find anything that explains common issues. Numerous posts on niche issues also seem to indicate ReadyNAS is less "ready" for a whole bunch of functions/environments than some of its casual reviewers will have you believe.
I was eventually able to solve the issue myself after pinpointing the cause to a conflict between ReadyDLNA service and batch transfer of files. But if you don't have some level of technical competency with NAS devices or superhuman stamina, I would definitely say that the DUO is not for you as Netgear seemingly would rather you solve their product issues on your own.

6 months after purchase the unit stopped working... netgear support wanted $ for providing support even though the item was under warranty. also it has issues with windows 7. Had to RMA and pay 17$ so they could ship me a replacement before I shipped the unit back... other option was to pay for shipping the unit back and then wait for them to ship the replacement...Digital camera Review: power cord connector issue

another opinion on the poor dc connector from the power block connecting to the back of the unit. My unit was turning on and off as well and I thought it was the power supply not ocurring to me that it might simply be a loose connection. Called customer support and was told this was a common issue with certain manufacturing date ranges, was immediately set up with a overnight delivery of a new connector and in fact it arrived at 10 am the next morning after speaking to them at 3 the previous afternoon. other than that other than the unit being a little difficult to set up and manipulate it is a great unit.
