I got 2 of these wireless PCMCIA cards and 1 Netgear Wireless 54G Router and had my wireless network up and going in 5 minutes and have not had one glitch with it at all! I have been so impressed with the Netgear 54G Wireless products and they have worked wonderfully! If your trying to decide with what brand to choose then choose the Netgear 54G wireless products! I bought three Netgear wireless devices from Amazon.com at separate times, sent in my rebate forms over 8 weeks ago but did not receive the rebates. I called to inquire about the status and was told that there is no record. To miss all 3 separate mail-ins is just incredible! I have no experience with this product specifically, but this line from their product description caught my attention:
"And with up to 128-bit WEP encryption, you can rest assured that your wireless network communications are private."
Make no mistake - WEP is NOT a secure wireless protocol! Do research on the subject matter and you will find that your 128 bit WEP key can be sniffed and cracked using just two intruding laptops and freely available hacking tools in under 30 min.
If you are really concerned about wireless security, look for a product that supports WPA-PSK.

Had this card for a year and some but didn't use it much. Had occasional freezes of the computer, but didn't think it was the card.
Got a wireless router as a present - and this card froze the computer multiple times. New drivers, different drivers, problems installing/uninstalling drivers, cleaning computer, reinistalling, calling tech support via email, then phone - nothing worked. Still get freezes.
Netgear forums are full to the neck with tales of how this card, and other similar Netgear cards, freeze computers left, right, and center. Netgear has no response, period. Tech support has fishy tale about how a computer with too many functions on one interrupt can hang driver - but, after all this trouble, putting Linksys adapter in this computer worked as a solution with no problem.
Stay away from this card, really.
Digital camera Review: Broken After 2 Weeks

Worked well for 2 weeks. It was connected to my laptop, which was running Ubuntu Linux, though I doubt that was the problem in this case. During its life, I noticed that it was running on the hot side. That might have been the factor in its death.
I purchased the card refurbished with a warranty for about $20. After it broke, I did not want to go through the bother of contacting their customer service department and following their frustrating return process. For $20, I am not going to cry about it.
My final thoughts: After so many failures of my purchased Netgear equipment, I don't believe I will ever be buying their stuff any more. It might have been that the card was faulty, but in the scope of all the Netgear equipment that I have bought in the past couple of years, almost all of them were faulty or were buggy (except for when Netgear built quality units with the blue steel casings... Netgear has really gone downhill quickly).
