Digital camera Review: Cools great, but died after 1 month usage

I was under the impression that this was a durable and efficient cooler. It DID do a great job of cooling my laptop when it worked, but it died (under normal 1-3 hour per day usage) after about a month. It will not power up at all. The AC connector seems loose, so that is likely the cause. I also found the folding mechanism to be obnoxious as I don't think it's capable of locking in the fold or unfolded position. This causes the metal part that folds to swing freely - which can be quite irritating when moving the laptop around. The cooler is also heavy. When paired with an Alienware M17X, the total weight of the laptop and cooler is close to 20 pounds. If the cooler didn't die on me, I'd rate it 3 stars... alas... it has become a paperweight after 1 month use.Digital camera Review: Currently The Best Cooler On The Market

Purchased a new HP 17-inch laptop & as anyone out there who has done the same, you know that it's a great laptop, but you could roast hotdogs from the heat they generate...did my research and purchased this cooler because it actually slightly larger than my laptop unlike any other cooler on the market which claims to fit a 17-inch laptop but falls short & looks cheap in the process. Also bought this cooler because it's the only one on the market with 3 adjustable 120mm fans and 4 useable & powered USB ports (if you use the AC adapter that comes with the cooler instead of the USB power cord). Another attribute this cooler has over the competition is that it pushes air up towards the bottom of the laptop instead of drawing it away which draws against most laptops built-in fan rendering either the cooler or the laptop fan useless which creates more heat. Nice to see that somebody did their homework and finally got it right after so many years. I recommend this model or the 15-inch model to anyone purchasing or looking to replace a laptop cooler. It's probably the most expensive cooler on the market, but compared to "ANY" of the competition..."IT'S WORTH EVERY PENNY!"Digital camera Review: Customer Service is a big enough incentive

This is a great laptop cooler for my 17 inch Alienware. I've recently ran into an issue with overheating and my laptop crashing on me every 15 minutes. NZXT ACC-NT-CRYO LX Aluminum Notebook Cooler 120MM Adjustable Fans (Black) On the strength of other positive reviews I bought this NZXT notebook cooler and my initial experience working with a 17" MacBook Pro was positive. However, leaving the computer (switched off) on the notebook cooler stand (with fans switched off) unattended proved disastrous. Contrary to my other cooler stand (a Zalman product), the NZXT stand failed to hold the MacBook Pro in place and the computer slipped off the stand sustaining serious damage to the case in the fall.
Comparison with the Zalman cooler stand which has no problem holding the computer in place conclusively demonstrates the design flaw in the NZXT product. NZXT have so far refused to acknowledge or respond to my complaint.
A seriously flawed product, and a totally unresponsive manufacturer. Prospective clients are strongly advised to spend their money elsewhere.

I dont know if it was just the unit I recieved or what, but the thing made my Gateway FX laptop act crazy... Could not restart with it plugged into the usb, the usbs on the back of the device absolutely did not work. I decided to just return for a refund which turned out to be pretty painless, which is dissapointing because I really wanted this thing to work. Thanks Amazon.
