Digital camera reviews of New PSP 3000 Silicon Skin Protective Cover for Sony PSP 3000 Console Playstation + Clear Screen Protector + Cloth to clean your PSP 3000Digital camera Review: Best Silicone skin ever. Summary: 5 Stars
This silicone skin is the best ever, The skin is not too soft, not too hard, just soft enough to give you the feel, and hard enough to protect your PSP. And this is THE ONLY ONE that has all the buttons still available with the skin on. In addition, It comes with screen protector and cloth. For the price, it is excellent. I would pay even more to get this.
Digital camera Review: Does not fit original PSP Summary: 1 Stars
I added this item to my wishlist about a year ago after searching for skins for the original PSP. At one point it became unavailable, then it became available again through Bestpricecenter and the name of the item was slightly changed. After receiving an Amazon gift card I ordered this skin, but unfortunately, it turned out to be too small for the original PSP - it's obviously for a PSP slim. If that's what you're looking for (PSP slim skin), go buy it at Gamestop for $10.00. Furthermore, I was really disappointed with the low quality of the skin itself. After all is said and done, I paid $17.98 for this stupid thing AND I have to go through the hassle of trying to return it. Bestpricecenter charged $5.99 for shipping, even though the postage stamp on the padded envelope was only $1.86, which is really aggravating because shipping costs aren't refunded on returns. So much for my gift certificate. :(
Digital camera Review: Great investment for your PSP! Summary: 5 Stars
I am an adult gamer, so when my husband gave me my PSP for Christmas a few years ago, I didn't think I really needed anything like this. Now my son who was then only 9 months old, is now 3.5 years old and has to play with everything Mommy does. So I figured it was time I invest in some protection for my PSP.
I read good things about the hard crystal cases which serve the same purpose, but I didn't want my PSP to become really bulky and I really dislike the glare on the screen that's inevitable with the crystal case. So I took a chance against the bad reviews and bought this skin and I am very very happy with my purchase. I have to assume that the people who say the skin fits very loosely were putting it on the PSP 2000 (or slim) because it fits like a glove on my PSP 1000 (fat) and perfectly aligns with all the buttons. It in no way inhibits the use of the buttons and makes the PSP feel much more secure and comfortable in your hands.
The silicone is thick and high quality and I have no idea how one buyer's son managed to rip it. You don't even need to stretch it to put it on, so I'm going to go out on a limb and assume the buyer bought a knock off skin that looks similar to this one. I also have a knock off silicone skin for my slim and it is not nearly as nice as this one. The silicone is very thin and flimsy and they covered the shoulder buttons, which drives me crazy! But I have absolutely no complaints about this skin. It even makes it easier to push those difficult volume and select/start buttons.
The seller really should state that it is NOT for PSP slim because many people wouldn't know the difference. An easy give away when looking at the pictures is that the slim has the little holes for the speakers on the top and the fat has them on the bottom. For the PSP 1000/fat, it is an excellent top quality skin and is perfect when used along with an official Japanese Hori screen protector. Highly recommended!!
Digital camera Review: Looks much better online then it does irl Summary: 1 Stars
When searching for a protective skin for my PSP slim, I came across this product. The images looked really nice and the price seemed right so I thought I would give it a try. When receiving the product, I was greatly disappointed. The look of it is very cheap; It's as though I bought rubber that was lying around a junkyard that was cut out for a PSP then sold online... It really does seem that cheap when you hold it in your hands. It even FEELS cheap. It's just ugly all around. Thinking that this product once cost $30 is ridiculous. But hey, cheap feel or not, ten dollars isn't SO steep... so let's test the functionality...
I try putting it on my PSP 3000 and it doesn't fit properly over the analog, causing it to pull on the analog to the right, as well as causing the buttons to stick. This makes the product pretty much useless. Why would I leave it on if I can't play without restrictions to my gameplay? With that, not only is it ugly and cheap looking, it has no functionality.
The only thing I liked about this product was that it came with a cloth which isn't so bad... but come on, that's not why I bought this and it's definitely not worth the asking price. As for the 'free' screen protector, it doesn't even fit all the way on the screen. It leaves about a quarter of an inch of space all around the screen so what's the point of using it? I just threw that out.
They include the cloth and protector as a marketing ploy because they know the product is junk.
Don't waste your money on this product.
