If the sensor stays in the shoe, it will continue to sending signal until the batter is out of juice. You can't change the battery, so it goes into toxic landfill (battery and circuit boards are toxic).
Here's another example of corporations' greed at the cost of consumers and environment. These two companies could have easily designed it with a rubber sealing battery door, but they didn't. Instead of $5 for a replacement battery, you have to spend another $30 for a new one when the juice is out.
Let's protest against irresponsible product like this one. Stop buying toxic disposable products like this.
