Digital camera reviews of Nike + iPod SensorDigital camera Review: Great Summary: 4 Stars
This is a great product! I have used a iPod sensor for the past several years and love how it keeps track of all my runs. Just don't forget to turn it off after your run, otherwise you'll find yourself buying sensors more often than you need to.
Digital camera Review: Great Product Summary: 5 Stars
I love to run and I enjoy using Nike+ Ipod sport kit. All I had to change is the sensor every 1000 hrs or so. You have to make sure not to wear the sensor on your every day shoes because it will use up the battery because it's motion sensing product. On my first one I didn't know and was totally wearing it even when I am not recording an activity. So battery ran out pretty fast.
Digital camera Review: Great gitf for sporty friends Summary: 4 Stars
I got this for my best friend and she loved it, she does a lot of sports and enjoyed it very much, it's a good gift choice and the price is not too high.
Digital camera Review: Great item - Don't leave in shoe though Summary: 4 Stars
Item work just as promised, only problem is that you can't leave it in the shoe and wear the shoe or you will eventually run down the battery which can't be replaced. Once the battery is dead the item becomes useless. Manufacturer didn't provide a way for the customer to change the battery, thus the customer must purchase a full replacement to continue to utilize the product/software.
Digital camera Review: How to get the most out of your Nike + Ipod Summary: 5 Stars
If you use this with an iPhone 3GS like me, then this thing couldn't be more useful. My phone is jailbroken so I can run multiple apps in the background, so I use MotionX GPS at the same time as the Nike+iPod app, and then at the end of my run, I can calibrate it perfectly to how far I ran. I know most people don't have their phone's jailbroken, but don't fret, multitasking support is coming in the iPhone OS 4.0 which should be coming sometime soon, supposedly in June 2010. And I've found that after I calibrate it this way, it is surprisingly accurate subsequently. One problem I have is that sometimes I will run in my Vibram Fivefingers, and due to a different running style, I have to completely recalibrate this system, oh well, if that's the price I must pay to have easy charts and graphs of my running workout progress, then so be it. But I figured a simple solution to this, I also have an iPod nano, and I just use it for my VFF's and use my iPhone for my nike lunarglide's, which by the way are just about the most comfortable shoes I'ver ever owned (considering I hadn't had a new pair of running shoes in over a decade, I never imagined those Asics would last SO LONG!) Also, do NOT leave the sensor in your shoe if you use those shoes for daily use, even after I put it to sleep by holding the button for over 5 seconds or whatever, my sensor is now dead and I need another. I think just from walking in your shoe that the pressure hits the button while in the shoe slot.
