Digital camera reviews of Nike + iPod SensorDigital camera Review: I love this little gadget. Summary: 5 Stars
I too was ticked off when my sensor died. I tried to replace the battery via a Google search but only ended up slicing my finger open.
You only have to pay $20. for a new unit... you keep the old receiver. Not a bad deal. Two years running, $20, no tax, no postage from Amazon.
You will enjoy tracking your runs each day pushing to be a step or two faster. Go For It!

This is the 2nd sensor that I have purchased as my other one ran out of battery power. I love using the Nike + Ipod sensor whenever I walk or jog. It has helped me to improve my jogging ability both in speed and endurance by tracking my time and distance. My only concern is that you cannot replace the battery in one, you have to buy a new sensor altogether, but the cost is still reasonable.
Digital camera Review: Love it! Summary: 5 Stars
I have been using my sensor for about 9 months. I have left it in my shoe the entire time. It works very well. You can always calibrate it if you don't think it is correct.
I like the nikeplus website. You can see your run times, distances over periods of time, and participate in online contests.
I am sure there are better GPS devices, but not for $19.
It will not work on a treadmill.
Digital camera Review: Maybe just an anaomoly.... Summary: 1 Stars
But the sensor worked for part of the first run and then died. I've sent it back to Amazon and I trust that they will replace it. I'm a regular Amazon customer but this is the first defective product I received so I'm not sure what to expect.
While the sensor worked it did exactly what it was supposed to do and if you have a ipod Touch I highly recommend it as an inexpensive workout tool. I just hope the next one will last for more than a mile :-)
Digital camera Review: Nice idea, but... Summary: 2 Stars
The first one I purchased never linked to my iPod Touch. After about 2 hours of researching the internet, I decided the battery must have been toast, and I returned it for another one, which linked to my iPod immediately. Got the new one home and discovered that it doesn't work while I'm on my elliptical machine. The Nike + iPod app needs work, too - it's not very intuitive, especially the calibration feature.
Bottom line - it's a neat idea in theory, but in practice, this thing needs a LOT of improvement. Personally, I would not have purchased this had I known how mediocre a product it is. You know what they say about hindsight...
