Digital camera Review: Generally good buy, however not for D3000

This a good product that will work fine with most of the Nikon cameras listed, however, with the D3000 which I have, the autofocus feature does NOT work. You must manually focus. For still shots or motion shots going across you can manually focus fast enough. For rapidly moving objects coming at you (like runners at a track meet), the best you can do is focus at a fixed object then hope to catch the moving object at that point.Digital camera Review: Good glass

This is an excellent all purpose lens. It has reasonable speed, but I wish it was a little faster, but I could have spent a lot more money for that speed. Very workable lens for my casual needs.
