Digital camera reviews of Nikon 7432 Monarch 10x42mm All-Terrain BinocularsDigital camera Review: 5 Star Binos for Hunting Summary: 5 Stars
I have tried many types of binos, including Zaworski's, in the field and these binos hold their own against the best. The big $$$ brands such as Zaworski's, Leica, etc... are great but they are not thousands of dollars better than these Nikon's. I opted for the Monarch 7432 10x42s and use them for everything from brown bears in Alaska to whitetail archery hunting on the east coast. Under all weather conditions, these binos have performed admirably. Only once has the glass fogged and that was in a snow squall during a bear hunt in Alaska. Give em a try, you won't be disappointed. The eye piece covers do not affect the functionality of the binos and in my opinion is a non issue.
I will say one drawback to these is that they are manufactured in China, which is a bit of a disappointment.
Digital camera Review: A great pair of binoculars for nature study at a reasonable price. Summary: 5 Stars
After weighing the reviews both pro and con on this site and others I recently purchased a pair of these binoculars, primarily for use in birding. After using them for several months I must say that I am extremely pleased with them. The quality of the image is excellent,... bright, sharp and clear with no color fringing whatsoever. They're lighter and easier to hold than my old pair of 7x 50 Porro prism binoculars. The focusing control is very precise and, although it works in the opposite direction of my old pair, it didn't take me long to get used to it. The focus setting also stays in place very well. Even with the binoculars moving against my chest for some time they are still in focus when I bring them to my eyes again. I was also astonished to see how close I could focus with these binoculars. If I'm sitting in a chair I can just about focus on my knees. Amazing! This is a very important attribute when using the binoculars for general nature study. You can focus on small items such as flowers, leaves, etc., that you cannot reach because of obstructions, but that are too close to focus on with many other binoculars, including my old pair. The twist up eye cups are extremely convenient. I seem to have eyebrows that tend to smudge the ocular lenses of binoculars, but when I twist up the eye cups to their full extent I still have an excellent view while keeping my eyebrows off of the glass. The strap is reasonably sturdy and quite comfortable. The tethered lens caps on the objectives are convenient but the lens cap for the oculars is a bit insecure.
I was able to buy these binoculars from Amazon at a very good price. After a $[...] rebate the price was only $[...]. I couldn't resist trying them at that price and I'm very happy that I did.
The reason I started to look at these was because my granddaughter had asked my advice on the purchase of the pair of binoculars that she would use during a six-month field trip to a research station in the Amazon Rain Forest of Peru to study primates. After doing the research I suggested these to her and then decided to buy a pair for myself as well. She has just returned from the Rain Forest and told me that the binoculars were great. She used them constantly for the past six months 10 to 12 hours a day in sweltering conditions, often in a tropical deluge. She always had a good view and the binoculars never fogged, while other types used by some of the other researchers often did. This is a good indication of their durability even in adverse circumstances.
Overall I would rate this model as an excellent choice for anyone seeking a pair of binoculars for nature study of any sort. Even without the rebate, which I think is no longer available, they offer a lot of value for the money.

Digital camera Review: Excellent Binos Summary: 5 Stars
I saw a rating for these binos in a hunting magazine and they ranked first for the their price range ($0-$500). They proved their worth. Just returned from a 7 day elk hunt in Montana with two elk. Would never had seen them with my old ones (7X35). Great Binos!
Digital camera Review: Excellent Value for the Price Summary: 5 Stars
The Nikon 7432 Monarch Binoculars are rugged, yet lightweight, with an excellent field of vision and great clarity. They are ideal for general use, e.g. sporting events, hunting and bird watching. An excellent value for the price.
