I bought two pair of these Binoculars last month too use on our Alaskan Cruise/Tour next July. Nikon 8-24x25 Travelite V Zoom Binocular I've tried them out in our back yard, at a concert and at several football games "War Eagle"!! I didn't need the zoom for the football games or the concert but they worked great. I know when we go to Alaska the zoom will be wonderful for watching wild life. They are also very light, eaasy to hold, well made, and the price was terrific for the quality of the product. Also got the Lens Cloths - Nikon 8072 Microfiber Cleaning Cloth

Ordered these for my wife and found them to be so nice I have been stealing them for myself...We use them on vacation and hiking trips...even at a concert recently...very nice and easy to use...only downside was they do not come with lense caps for both ends...just for the eye piece nothing for the lense opening...Digital camera Review: Great Travel Binoculars

These Nikon compact binoculars have a great image quality for the price and the zoom feature is a nice addition. They are very light and compact, but not so small as to be hard to work the controls (focus, zoom etc...) Although the field of view decreases when one zooms-in and the image brightness decreases, both expected effects, the overall image quality is still high allowing close-up views of a subject of interest. Of course the image is less steady at the higer magnification, but that can be ameliorated by bracing the binocs on a walking stick or other fixed solid object like a fence or wall for prolonged viewing if need be.Digital camera Review: Happy birding

These Binoculars are great for simple home and outdoor use. The zoom feature is not difficult to use when you figure it out and if for a single user, becomes personally simple after one adjustment.
