I upgraded to Nikon Capture NX2 and I'm very pleased with the new features as well as the improved workflow. Working with RAW and JPEG formats are each possible and straightforward. No one knows how to convert Nikon's RAW format better than Nikon.
I hope that the next version (NX3) will include a clone stamp (the auto brush in NX2 is nice for small fixes only in my opinion) and a panorama stitch.

and especially for NEFs, but it does fantastic job on JPGs and Tiffs as well. U-point technology incorporated in this product is a struck of genius and makes editing images simple. This program, for Nikon Digital camera, makes editing photo's easy and exact. Although it will work for any digital photo's it is especially great for Nikon raw files. NX2 is a vast improvement over NX. Easier to work with, doesn't seem to lag so much when working with large files so you can more easily see what is being adjusted while you're moving the adjustment sliders.
Getting the upgrade saved me a lot of money; especially since my original NX came with my D300.
