Digital camera reviews of Nikon Coolpix L20 10MP Digital Camera with 3.6 Optical Zoom and 3 inch LCD, (Deep Red)

Digital camera Review: Angry.
Summary: 2 Stars

I'm so angry right now. Just days ago, I had it priced out, that I could buy this camera, a memory card, and a case for it, all for less than a hundred bucks. In DAYS, you raise the price of the camera alone to over $100? That's ridiculous. I was planning on buying this with my next paycheck, but I'm definitely not going to now. How can you keep raising the price by $20 EVERY DAY?! No thanks.

Digital camera Review: Awesome Camera!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great camera. It is inexpensive, it has great flexibility and easy to use fully packed features, it looks great and most of all takes GREAT sharp pictures. You hardly need the flash, even in low light and at night the image sensitivity is excellent and easily adjustable (just have a steady hand when you take the shot in low light because the shutter tends to stay open longer and that may cause some bluriness in the picture), again; you hardly need the flash (will save battery life). Video and audio quality are also excellent and battery life is adequate. The large screen is a plus as well. Only gripe is with the SD card being inside the battery compartment which it means that you need to open the fragile battery door everytime you want to take the SD card out. Quick tip 1: keep the resolution at 5 megapixels for a regular size 4x6 photo, you can't tell the difference in sharpness between 5 and 10 mpx and you'll have twice as much storage on your card. Quick tip 2: use the camera in auto mode(more reliable), not easy mode. I invite you to read the book. this camera has many useful features (automatic color compensation, rapid shots setting, light compensation, close-up feature and many more). Overall: EXCELLENT!

Digital camera Review: Bang for the Buck
Summary: 5 Stars

This computer has wonderful bang for the buck. It takes fine pictures for what I paid for it. The only drawback I can mention is that it is a little too thick compared to other point and shoots, but you get what you pay for. It has fine scene settings and normal controls. A lack of manual controls is fine for a college student (recreational photography).

Digital camera Review: Best camera for the price
Summary: 5 Stars

If you just want a camera thats simple to use this is it.

It`s as point and shoot as you will get.

This camera takes care of red eye and also alert`s if a person blinks.

Digital camera Review: Best of the Budget Cameras
Summary: 5 Stars

Professional reviews of this camera commend its sharp distortion-free lens quality and the camera's color accuracy. I bought this camera modified by a 3rd-party to take only infrared photos, so I can't comment on color accuracy. (But the infrared pics my modified Coolpix L20 takes are phenomenal.) In use the camera starts quickly and there is virtually no shutter lag. The camera feels extremely solid in hand - I was very surprised by this compared to how fragile other budget models I've owned in the past by other manufacturers seem. Its solid weight and build quality exceeded my expectations. This is a point-n-shoot so it's not going to be feature rich but everything you need is there and more. The menu system is very well-designed and intuitive. I didn't read the manual and figured it out in a minute. Another thing I think is great is that Nikon included a manual white balance mode, which can't be taken for granted in budget models. This improves picture quality enormously when used especially in mixed lighting. Preset white balance modes nearly always result in an ugly color cast in tricky lighting, and this feature is simply "a must" for shooting infrared. 10 megapixels is more than enough resolution for larger prints. The large bright 3 inch monitor is also a surprising nicety in a camera at this price. It's a very sharp looking camera in glossy red with silver accents. What sets this camera apart is its very sturdy build quality, above average optics, inclusion of a manual white balance feature, its big LCD size, and its handsome looks. The only downside is images get noisy above ISO 400, a common issue with all digicams. Overall a very well-done camera by Nikon in the budget segment. The Nikon Coolpix L20 is a great value.
