Digital camera Review: Broke after 2 months.

I took less then 25 pictures with the camera and kept it in its on little pouch. Grabbed out one day and noticed a crack in the LCD screen, rendering it completely useless. Called up Nikon since i had a two year waranty and they told me it'll cost 120 dollars to fix. Yes, double the price I paid for it. Aside from the broken screen, the pictures where very blurry, and my LCD screen was very very grainy. Definitely not being another consumer level Nikon.Digital camera Review: Buyer Beware

Beware of Nikon's lens error problems. This is the 2nd Nikon I had in a year and half. The 2nd one Coolpix L20 only lasted two months before the big lens error. Nikon does not stand behind there product. They won't cover this under warranty. They say the camera was damaged and they won't fix it unless you pay 75-80 dollars to get it fixed when you can buy a new camera for that amount. We use our digital SLR for photography but bought this camera for our parents. I used it for 2 weeks to take family photos. It is very nice. It can be set with full auto mode so elders do not worry about changing the settings, can easily take photos. The video is pretty good too. For this price, it is great!. I am going to buy 2 more, one for my in-laws and another one for us. The Coolpix takes good pictures for the price range. Easy to use. Not as good as higher end cameras. The vendor "17th Street Photo" was just terrible! Zero stars! Bought it from them directly, what a mistake. Never again! They called me to confirm the order, and told me that it was on the way, that I'd have it in a week or so. Never came. I called them four separate times. Always said that it was on its way. Lies! Nothing but lies. Don't trust them at all! Just horrible customer service! Wasted hours on the phone with them. Buy from Amazon next time! Absolutely NO SATISFACTION from "17th Street Photo" in 34 west 17th street, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10011, Tel: 1-800-664-1971. They now sell on Amazon too. I own a Nikon DSLR and with that in mind I turned to the Nikon name again when choosing a point and shoot to carry in my purse. I bought this several months ago for $109.00. I really should have sent it back but thought-perhaps it was a learning curve. Not the case---over half of the pics where blurry-just not a good quality camera. Certainly, not what i would expect out of Nikon. Recently bought a Canon P&S for my daughter and picture
quality is way better. I will buy Canon for my next P & S camera. Save yourself the time and trouble-avoid this particular camera.
