Great price and great camera. Bought this for my daughter who didn't need (or want) a high end digital camera and this one fit the bill perfectly. Personally, I like to have a "real" viewfinder and this camera doesn't have one. But she doesn't care and she loves using the electronic finder. Picture quality is very good. Features are very good as well. It also uses two AA batteries and so far, seems to be low power use with many pictures on the 1st set of AA batteries.Digital camera Review: Coolpix L20 is a great point & shoot

Haven't had any problems with the camera since I bought it. It takes great pictures just like it should. There are a couple things that could make it better though. A little more powerful zoom and the ability to take rapid fire action shots would make this an amazing piece of equipment. My camera freezes often & I get 'battery exhausted' even with fully charged rechargeable batteries. If you google the issue turns out it is likely the battery door with sensitive or defective contact points to the batteries? If you open & close the door, the problem goes away, for a while. This is my 4th Coolpix camera & I am not happy about this at all. I will check a camera shop to see how costly/successful the repair might be ;o(Digital camera Review: DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA

Although I did not purchase this camera from Amazon( Best Buy), I returned it after 1 day of using it. I purchased Nikon because of my previous experience years ago with a Nikon SLR, which produced great pictures.
This camera is a joke....nearly every picture I took was blurry. I purchased this for my wife for her birthday. She was extremely disappointed with it as well. When I returned it to Best Buy, the clerk told me that they have had many, many returns of this camera. I then purchased a Kodak camera (m340), and we could not be more pleased with the quality of the pics and the ease of use.....no more Nikon for me.

This camera will easily break. Nikon will not honor their warranty even if it is within their warranty period. Read my experience, and you'll see.
I bought this camera in December 2009... rarely used it, and stored it in a shockproof case. By July 2010 it was broken.
My experience with Nikon's service was worse than the lousy camera. They sent me a photo of the camera to say that I broke it, and that it's not under warranty. All I have asked for was to have my camera fixed... I have asked for service, not an estimate! Also, the estimate was a scam. In the estimate, they asked me to pay more money to repair the camera than what I paid for the camera in the first place! I was already out some cash since I spent money just to send it back safely to them. It was truly pathetic.
I was truly appalled by the response that I've received. I merely wanted my camera fixed - for Nikon to honor its warranty for a broken camera. For a company to stand behind its product. This was NOT what I got.
I have tried to keep an open mind. However, based on Nikon's pathetic response, and the lousy lack-of-service I've experienced, please make no mistake - I highly doubt that I will buy a Nikon camera again. In fact, I plan to go out of my way to share my negative experience to everyone in my influence as I vent my severe discontent at Nikon.
Scammed - that's how I truly feel. They should not sell any more of their lousy products - they really should be on the public's DO NOT BUY list.
