My father bought me this camera for Christmas. I was very excited to have a simple point and shoot - I have an SLR by Fujifilm, but decided to try out this Nikon camera. I was disappointed first in the picture quality. In automatic mode everything was either washed out or too dark. Then, after a couple weeks, I travelled to Mexico, excited to take new pictures with my camera and hoping these would come out better. While taking a portrait, I knocked over the camera from about a foot up and the LCD display just shattered. I contacted the company and they said this was not under the warranty. The camera does not have a viewer so I was shooting blindly for a week, hoping my pictures would not be cutting off heads. The company said the LCD would be about $80 to fix, which is almost as much as I paid for the camera. Now I have a useless camera. Definitely do NOT recommend this camera to anybody. My husband bought me this camera for Christmas. We had an old Sony Cybershot which we loved for years but I wanted something light weight to keep in my purse for capturing special moments with our little one. The photos seemed grainy on the screen but we thought it was just the way they were stored. Unfortunately that is also the way they printed. So disappointed in this camera. I wish I could return it but it's been 6 months. I plan on contacting Nikon to see what they can do for us. I did buy this week a Kodak EasyShare C190, and I love it.Digital camera Review: Disappointing

After so many great reviews, I find this camera so disappointing! I don't have any special needs--just a camera I can grab at a moment's notice to catch fun moments in my children's lives. Unfortunately, it never seems to focus on the subject well, either in the full auto mode or in special modes. A lot of our pictures are taken indoors, so maybe it's an issue with lighting, but every other camera I've owned was able to function fine indoors. Needed a small camera to carry in my pocket on a ski trip. When this arrived, I took some pictures and immediately sent the camera back to Amazon. The images were underexposed and blurry. Ended up with a $130 Canon - I think it is unlikely you can get anything decent below $100. This was my first and last Nikon.Digital camera Review: Do not buy!

I ordered this item and quickly found out that it produces extremely fuzzy pictures. At first I thought my hand just wasn't steady but every picture I took with it produced the same product. I sent this item back and would not recommend this item to anyone. This camera is cheap because it is cheaply made.
