Digital camera reviews of Nikon Coolpix S220 10MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom and 2.5 inch LCD (Graphite Black)

Digital camera Review: Nikon Camera
Summary: 4 Stars

Was not very happy to find that this camera didn't have A memory chip or carrying case as the one did, my son bought at Costco for the same money.

Digital camera Review: Nikon Coolpix S220 avoid at all costs
Summary: 1 Stars

I purchased this camera over the summer thinking it was going to take some nice pictures while visting Italy. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the picture quality especially when taking pictures inside the museums and night shots. Inside the museum, the pictures came out grainy and I noticed the camera couldn't take decent pictures at night. Night pictures looked blurry and out of focus. I orginally paid 149.99 for this camera and then resold it taking a loss of 69 dollars. Avoid this camera at all costs. I'll stick to Cannon or Sony for my next camera purchase. I'll think twice about purchasing a Nikon again.

Digital camera Review: Nikon's Big Joke
Summary: 1 Stars

This camera is so bad, I can't believe it hasn't been pulled from the shelves. I work with digital cameras and wouldn't give this to my worst enemy. Buy the Canon SD780 or SD1200 IS instead. They actually take great pictures!

Digital camera Review: No Mass Storage Support = No-Go
Summary: 2 Stars

This camera is easy to use and is a small and compact shooter. Pictures however were marginal. There seemed to be a fishey effect on images, where they are clear at the center, but blurred on the edges. Also it did poorly with colors unless the lighting was bright. A major drawback for me is the lack of support for mass storage class drivers (eg plug into computer and see it as a storage device/ hard drive). Nikon should provide this functionality in the camera. For me this is a no-go. I do not want to have to use special apps & drivers to get to my photos (Win2k/XP), nor do I want to use a card reader. On Vista the camera connected and worked pretty well.

Digital camera Review: Ok for the price
Summary: 3 Stars

The Nikon Coolpix is a good camera but I feel the pictures aren't as good as other camera's. A couple of years ago I bought a Kodak camera for around $90 and I feel the pictures were superior to this camera.
