I got this camera as a gift for my wife before her trip to Scotland. We have other digital cameras including a lesser model Nikon. We also have a Nikon SLR film camera. This is by far the best quality and user freindly camera we have ever had. The results are stunning. Excellent picture with every shot.

I am still learning to use it!!
Digital camera Review: Nikon D60 Kit with 2 lenses Summary: 5 Stars
This is a fantastic camera and lens combination. My 16 year-old son has mastered it quickly and taken some professional quality photos both indoors & outdoors. The operation of the camera, lenses & menus are intuitive and easily learned. The Vibration Reduction feature permitted great, sharp photos in low light at a concert and also of some bald eagles flying at a good distance from the camera. The 10 megapixel size permitted zooming & cropping and still getting great quality pictures. It feels comfortable in our hands - better than any other DSLR's we tried. A gem!
Digital camera Review: Nikon D60 is a great buy! Summary: 5 Stars
This is my first attempt to enter the world of digital photography using a D-SLR and so I wanted to purchase a camera with a reliable name brand and recognition, ease of use, value priced, and one that would have a great amount of long-term flexibility - i.e. lots of lens offerings, accessory availability, etc. I found all of these things AND MORE in the Nikon D60. I know several folks who shoot professional photography and use Nikon products, only. Even for a more advanced user, the D60 is sure to not disappoint. It takes great photos even on the automatic settings, is a great size that fits easily into your hand, and has many nice and unique in-camera features (such as digital retouch and the ability to edit photos on the fly). The included kit lenses are pretty decent, especially now that they come with the "VR" technology...this seems to help quite a bit in reducing blur caused by camera shake at low shutter speeds.
All in all, I am very impressed with the camera (and Nikon overall) and am excited to learn more about it...and more about the world of digital photography!
Digital camera Review: Outstanding Camera Summary: 5 Stars
I have used the D40 in the past and what sold me on this camera was that it came with such a good package with the second lense icluded. The camera is similar to the D40 with additional mega pix and the VR and the sensor dust removal system.
