Digital camera reviews of Nikon D90 12.3MP DX-Format CMOS Digital SLR Camera with 18-105 mm f/3.5-5.6G ED AF-S VR DX Nikkor Zoom LensDigital camera Review: Amazing Camera Summary: 5 Stars
This camera really exeeded my expectations about a DSLR. This is the first DSLR I own but I've tried several different DSLRs and now stick to Nikon. D90 rocks!
Lots of customizations, real freedom for creativity on non-auto modes, ease of use, really smart focusing mechanism (11 smart focusing points), cotrols (function and positioning on the body) are designed to help the artist frame, focus and compose the shot the best way. No words for image quality...
My best purchase ever!
Digital camera Review: Amazing piece of hardware! Summary: 5 Stars
I have been a serious amateur for more than 20 years, and a Nikon film user for most of that time. Until recently the quality of DSLRs just wasn't there, so I had been holding off on the digital transition. Let me say that I am absolutely amazed at this camera! It has transformed my photography in countless ways, due in no small part to its amazing high ISO capability. For a dad with two toddlers, this is a truly helpful capability for capturing fast action indoors.
I highly recommend adding one of the excellent Nikon speedlights (I bought the SB600), because the latest i-TTL system is remarkable, as is the wireless operation. Unless you really need a full-frame sensor or a ruggedized body, this is THE camera body for serious amateurs. I would even choose this body over one of the pricier bodies if I were a pro shooting in a studio.
Lastly, I also recommend getting the vertical grip. It gives you much more stability and grip area, as well as the ability to control AF function, shutter release, and command dial functions while holding in the vertical position.

Digital camera Review: An Amateur but love to take picture and aspiring to be a professional. Summary: 5 Stars
It is a bit too heavy and i wish that the grips were rubber.
But i absolutely love it.
Digital camera Review: An insane intermediate camera for the budget photographer Summary: 5 Stars
This is my second camera after my Fuji S9500 DSLR like camera. The upgrade is worlds apart as this is my first venture into the proper DSLR field. The D90 is a steady, reliable, consistent workhorse for all types of photography, providing superb quality and performance. I did extensive research before purchase and was actually looking at the Canon 550D (T2i) instead, but after reading about the D90 and using one from my friend I was sold.
The lens that comes with it, 18-105mm, is a good all-round lens and can cover close ups to average portraits. You can't go wrong with this camera but be prepared to read through the lengthy manual for the various settings and fairly confusing menu system. But trust me, you'll rarely reach for your camera manual when you're busy capturing special moments or candids of the world around you.
The battery life is amazing, with over 800 shots per charge. The controls are fairly easy to use and right where you need them. The Nikon technology behind the D90 makes life easier for you by doing most of the nitty gritty hard work and lets you focus on composition and capture.
If you're unsure of your purchase of a Nikon D90, I can assure you, this camera will be either you're primary or your secondary in time to come.
I love my D90!!
Cheers!
