I have never had a problem with mine falling off. I bought a replacement simply because my son put it somewhere in the house and it is a mystery where.
I've knocked my camera, bumped it and the cap never falls off. This new one in fact clicks on tighter than the original that came with the camera. Either way, neither falls off. easy to put on and take off quickly too. 10 bucks shipped, not bad.
