Digital camera Review: Great Enhancement to the Nikon D300

I ordered the Nikon MB-D10 Battery Grip only a few days ago from Amazon, and received the order last night. Shipping was fast and worry free. As far as the product goes, it provides a great addition to the Nikon D300 camera. Very easy to install the battery and attach to the camera itself. It provides much more surface area to hold on to the camera and feels great in your hands. The one downfall of the Battery Grip is that it only holds one battery; not two batteries like most other battery grips that I've used (i.e. Canon). Granted, you can either use the Nikon battery in the grip or use eight double-A batteries, but the battery grip does not allow to use two Nikon batteries simultaneously. I've seen other aftermarket grips for the Nikon D300s and I can say that I'm happy that I bought the real Nikon one. The cost is a little more however it's built to last! I now shoot at 8fps. The buttons were a little stiff at first because it was new, but the more you use it, the better it feels. Bought this along with a D700 and I can't be happier. This grip feels like a part of the camera, not like a cheap add-on. Previously I had owned a Nikon D90 with the nikon vertical grip and it isn't in the same league. That one always felt cheap to me, like it was an after thought. You won't regret this purchase. It does add quite a bit of weight to the camera, but it's worth the trade off.Digital camera Review: Great addition to my D300

I think this has added a lot of weight balance to my D300 when I have my 70-200mm lens on it. I am getting clearer, more focused vertical shots than I did before. The shutter is a bit touchier than the one my camera and in continuous shoot it's easy to overshoot a bit. I like the extra battery power I have now but I wish it was easier to access the battery in the camera without having to remove the grip.
