Digital camera reviews of Nikon SB-600 Speedlight Flash for Nikon Digital SLR CamerasDigital camera Review: Best option for the price Summary: 4 Stars
It can do almost everything that the SB-800 can, plus it's a lot cheaper and lighter. Unless you need one of the feature provided by the SB-800, this flash will be a better choice.
Digital camera Review: Best service ever! Summary: 5 Stars
I ordered my Sb-600 on wednesday (4-22-09) and they said that shipping will arrive approx (4/28/09-4/29/09). But instead I received my package on 04/24/09. Shipping is really realy fast and package is brand new straight out of the box. I am satisfied with my order. For all photographers out there, I recommend you get the SB-600 than the 800.
Digital camera Review: Beware Summary: 5 Stars
Light works great and easy to use with my Nikon-D60 SLR camera but beware that not all cameras will trigger the light at a remote distance as some Nikon cameras are designed to do but mine is not.
Digital camera Review: Beware Power settings Summary: 5 Stars
I just learned a valuable lesson in flash photography...learn the power settings of your flash.
This flash totally rocks, but you must understand it. It kept failing me at opportune times and now I realize that at full power I was going through batteries at 225 shots.
Digital camera Review: Big improvement over my SB22 Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for my D60. Previously used a SB-22 on a Nikon 5400 Coolpix. The SB-22 doesn't integrate well with the D60. Can use it in manual mode only.
I've only had it a few weeks, but a couple of features
I really like are the flash automatically turns on/off with the camera and I don't have to mess with setting F-stops on the flash. Just slide the flash on the hot shoe, rotate the clamp lock and you are done. Flash will zoom and set the right amount of flash based on the camera setting.
One feature I'm not sure about is the need to press a button to rotate the head for a bounce flash. In general it is just right size and power for my needs.
