Digital camera reviews of Nyrius NY-GS3200 5.8GHz 6 Channel Wireless Audio/Video Sender Transmitter & Receiver System with IR Remote Extender

Digital camera Review: All around Great product.
Summary: 4 Stars

I've been very satisfied with this product overall. I use it to send my DirecTV signal from my receiver in my living room on the 2nd floor to our Master Bedroom on the 3rd floor. Overall signal strength between floors is excellent. Occasionally, depending on the placement of the "transmitter" unit, if you walk in front of the receiving unit, I'd had it break in and out, but never lose signal completely. Its a great alternative to paying for an additional receiver from your cable or satellite provider. (NOTE: If you use this product as I do [in place of another dtv receiver] you can only watch the same channel in both rooms.) Upon setup I did find that this unit does interfere with my 5.0Ghz 802.11n Wireless. Bumping my wireless down to the 2.4Ghz band using 802.11n did the trick and now all is running interference free.

Digital camera Review: Almost Perfect
Summary: 5 Stars

My original review was a 5 but after a couple of weeks of use I have had to lower it to a 4. The picture is great but the remote extension isn't up to par with the picture. Some days it works great and other days it won't work at all. Most of the time it is in between and the channel will change when you want except instead of going one channel at a time it starts going through a loop till it gets tired and stops on a random channel. I've also figured out that when using the normal tv source I have to shut off the transmitter in order for the remote on that tv to work properly. The main thing though is that the picture transmitted from the living room to the bedroom is great and the remote issues are simply an inconvenience. This is only a temporary set up for a few months and does what we needed.

Digital camera Review: Amazing Product
Summary: 5 Stars

I setup this unit to feed our home system from out computer and since it is too far we didn't want to run cables. I setup this unit to our computers and the other one to your home system and it took me not evern 10 minutes. Sounds great without any static. The distance between the transmitter and reciver is about 40 feet.
thanks Robert

Digital camera Review: Audio/video function is great, remote not so much
Summary: 4 Stars

My hubby and I bought this to watch tv on our screened-in back porch. We've been using it for about a year now and are very pleased with it. At first we tried transmitting from our living room TV, where the signal had to go through several walls; it worked "ok". Then we decided to transmit from the upstairs bedroom tv down to the back porch, with only one wall in the way; we get a great picture and great sound and now enjoy sitting outside watching movies while we grill every weekend. With that said, however, we have never gotten the remote control extender to work at all and ended up buying separate units for that function at a very low cost (about $20 from a popular online auction site).

Digital camera Review: BUY YOURSELF THE RF LINK AVS 5811 INSTEAD!
Summary: 3 Stars

This product is NOT the RF LINK AVS 5811! This is a mistake/misprint that I think Amazon is unaware of. I googled the RF LINK AVS5811 and this is what came up on Amazon. Not realizing the difference, I ordered and received the model that Amazon shows in the picture, which is by another company -- AVMAGE. It worked, but just OK. The AVMAGE's range of changing channels with remote control was very poor, to say the least, even though the sender unit was only 25' feet away with a clear line of sight on the same floor with the receiver. I tried everything to make the IR repeater more responsive even spending an additonal $20 on longer RCA Jack cords, but to no avail. My old 2.4 Ghz unit worked much better in terms of remote control responsiveness. I returned it and purchased the "true" RF LINK AVS 5811 elsewhere and I could not be happier !! The real RF LINK AVS 5811 is awesome in terms of picture quality and IR responsivness! The picture it sends is close to HDTV quality. I even added an additional Receiver unit for my kitchen from them and cannot say enough about the 'real' RF LINK product!
