I inserted the replacement in about 3 minutes. It feels "grainier" (my son's word) than the original but has been functional. Couldn't track item while it was in transit, but it arrived at my house pretty quickly. Came in a very small yellow envelope with bubble wrap. It does what it is supposed to- no apparent damage, and I received the correct trackball. No complaints.
