Digital camera reviews of OMNIMOUNT Television Top Shelf CCH1PDigital camera Review: Works great on the Sony A3000 Projection Summary: 5 StarsI ordered it in gray rather than Black and the gray overlaps the gray trim edge nicely on my Sony 60A3000, so it is not noticeable that it is even there when viewing from the front. The black would likely look fine, too.
I reversed it as others had. The pegs in front may not be required at all. If one mounted the pegs pointed downward they would extend into the projection's screen. Pegs probably not needed facing upward when mounted upside down for my center channel speaker. It isn't going anywhere.
No problems with it slipping or dropping after 1 month of use.
Highly recommended.
It wasn't at all hard to set up as others had suggested.

Digital camera Review: OmniMount Television Top Shelf - Perfect for holding Tivo Summary: 5 StarsWith the shape of most televisions today, there's no where you put your CD player or TIVO without it slipping off. I ordered this shelf and mounted it on top of my large screen television in about 5 minutes. It is silver, like the TV, matched perfectly and holds my machines and remotes. The company I bought from on Amazon shipped it very fast and the price is much less than Best Buy or other local stores. I have also bought a black one for one of my darker cabinet Televisions.
Digital camera Review: Works pretty well! Summary: 4 StarsThe directions were just a little confusing, and I wound up having to move the legs around several times to get the right "fit" for my television set, but this item works great, and seems sturdy enough for the VCR.
Digital camera Review: Sturdy, unobtrusive, versatile Summary: 5 StarsWe decided to spend a little extra to get a shelf that would blend in with our TV and VCR/DVD combo. Most of the available shelves are black; yet most of the current equipment is silver. This shelf is very thin and strong. I found the shelf easy to install - I did see some things that might confuse someone:
1) The front pins arrive screwed into the short leg pieces for shipping purposes so you'll need to unscrew them so that they can be insalled into the holes on the front of the shelf - they don't actually have anything to do with the pieces into which they are screwed for shipping purposes.
2) In order to assemble, just take a very quick measurement of your particular TV to see how far the rear leg will need to extend, then go to the section of the instructions pertaining to that leg-length, and just choose the extension pieces necessary for the drop involved per the instructions.
3) The legs arrive already screwed into the short extensions - which the instructions call "spacers." I think the term "spacers" is slightly misleading since they are threaded on both ends instead of just being spacers that slide. I like "extensions" much better.
4) The screws hold the legs to the shelf by screwing them into the proper length extension. The little feet have to be unscrewed from the bottom of the short extensions (which is their shipped position) in order to put them on the longer ones.
5) IMPORTANT - If you are using the shortest extension and try to thread the screw through the shelf and then into the short extension when fastening them together, you won't be able to fully fasten the screw until you twist out the little foot on the bottom of the short extension to its more extended position. This is because there isn't enough room in the tube for the screw until the leg is twisted out of the tube on the other end. I can see that someone might think they didn't have the right size screw, but it is!
6) The little nut riding on the foot screw is just a stop nut to keep it in place once you've untwisted the foot from its extension to the proper length adjustment.
This is a quality, machined product; it could be confusing for someone who has not dealt with such things as woodworking jigs, for example. My advice is to take your time and think about the assembly after reading the section of the instructions that pertains to the drop you'll need for the rear leg to make contact with the back of your TV. Actually, assembling this product is good experience for many other applications in life. Think of it as a learning tool and keep the extra pieces taped either to the back of the shelf or somewhere close by in case you buy a different TV and need the other pieces. Highly recommended.
Digital camera Review: Works perfectly - looks great! Summary: 5 StarsI did have mine delivered without the front legs - these were definitely not in the shipment - checked and double-checked. I called the customer service number and left a message (it was Saturday - they were closed). I received a call the following Monday by a very pleasant representative of the company who promptly mailed the missing legs.
I love the way it looks - I used to have my DVR and DVD player on the floor beside the TV, but now it is neatly stacked right on top. Very secure sticky pads - holds both components perfectly.
