Product & concept is fine. Could be a little more sturdy to support SLR's or DSLR's. especially with anything but a standard lens. Elastic is a little light for such uses. Instructions on use and adjustments are limited.Would have liked a little more detail. The elastic version (there is a non-elastic version as well) worked out perfectly for me. I needed something to hold my Canon 40D above my waist and still keep it accessible for nature walk through the FL Everglades. Worked better than expected, harness would slide slightly down my back as I brought the camera up and the elastic allowed for comfortable use of all features.
I used the harness connectors on my camera and left my longer neck strap connectors on the camera as well. That gives me two different ways to carry the camera and two different lengths with a click of the connectors. Takes only a few seconds to switch back and forth as needed. NOTE: Check your neck strap connectors for compatibility with the harness connectors before mounting both sets of connector straps. You don't want to find out they are not compatible after mounting on your camera.
The only suggestion I have to improve this product would be to stamp or somehow distinguish the upper shoulder straps from the ones that go under your arms. After I figured out how to wear the assembly I marked the upper straps with a small silver stripe so putting in on is much easier.

I bought this and the Op/Tech Pro strap system at the same time. I was hoping the two would be interchangable with the the quick release, but they are not. The harness works well on its own - it is comfortable and easy to adjust. It is also well balanced and to be honest, there are times I forget my Nikon is even there. This harness is a great way to carry a camera all day (such as a place like Disney World/Land....). It is much better than a conventional strap in that regard, but it does not replace the need for a strap.
This is why I did not give it 5 stars - the harness works well as a harness, but it should be interchangeable with the Op/Tech system connects. So bacically, I have to unloop the two pieces for the strap to the camera and loop on the two pieces that go with the harness. But granted, it only takes 5 minutes and then I am set for the day, but I was hoping with quick disconnects there would be no reason to fool with the pieces that loop on the camera.

I love this little harness. I use a Sony A350 and the eyelets were very narrow. I did not think I was going to be able to use it, when I first got it. I talked with customer support and they gave me several options to correct the problem. I ended up using a couple of metal "O" rings on the camera eyelets, for the connectors. It works great and I'd definitely get the elastic version of the harness ($14).Digital camera Review: Love it!

I love my new Nikon D60, and take it hiking all the time. But the neck strap that came with it was literally a pain. After having the camera bang around on my neck all day I always came home from hikes with a sore neck.
This harness completely eliminates that. The camera is always available, but never in the way. Works great. I've recommended it to others. BUY ONE!
