Digital camera Review: AMAZING PRODUCT & AMAZING PRICE

I own several DVD UNIVERSAL PLAYERS (DENON DVD-3800 CI & OPPO 980 H) and several blu-rays (DENON BD-1800 & PANASONIC BD-35, so I can give you all a very accurate review of such marvelous product. SACD sound is as good as $1800 DENON 3800 UNIVERSAL DVD PLAYER, that was rated by STEREOPHILE as an outstanding product. Image detail (so good that is hard to believed) and performance is much better than DENON $800 BD-1800. DVD upscaling is as good as many BLU RAY pictures. My question, how OPPO can offer so good price? I'm still asking such question and maybe the answer is that OPPO doesn't have detail distributors (except AMAZON), so the difference to a stereo high-end store, witch double or triple the cost price is let to the consumer. So you can imagine that the real cost for so amazing product is more than $1500/unit.
SACD, DVD-AUDIO, HDCD sound is first rated via DSD and BITSTREAM to my DENON AVR-5308 CI top of the line. I'm also a DENON fan, so I must recommend to all audio/videophiles such DENON AVR to have the perfect match. DENON AVR-5308 CI is also a bargain due to all the features, that sometimes I think it has more storage and random memory than my DELL lap-top.

I have been following this Blu-Ray player since it was released to the public for sale last year.
This player is everything i had hoped for and more. Plays everything i have thrown at it without
any hiccup at all. Got rid of two dvd players with this purchase. Packaging is great and amazon
delivered on time as promised. Oh! Did i mention that the tech support is great as well? Received
an e-mail in a couple of hours. Not days!! I didnt think that kind of product support existed
anymore. If you been waiting for the best player out there at this price point, go ahead and make
it happen. You wont be disappointed.

This product was listed #1 in Consumer Reports, which means a lot, and that's why I paid the extra dollars for it. Packaging was nice and secure, set up was easy and directions easy to read. Plays almost everything you throw in it, dvds/Blus, AVI, mpeg, the only thing it didn't play was a few avi files taken with a very old digital camera, but once I converted them to mpeg, they played just fine. The remote is awesome too, you can actually read the controls in the dark with the illumination, its ergo too. It reads disks fast, faster than my computer does! Firmware updates easy and convenient. USB posts. Solid design.
Oppo really does their homework, because this does it all. Only way I see to improve it is to add wireless capability to it.
Buy this.

I have recently purchased this music collection in 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio:7.1 Music Classical Colletion - Acoustic Reality Experience [Blu-ray]
The OPPO BDP-83 performed beautifully in terms of the sound. You can use the 7.1 analog pre-outs if you have an older receiver, and the sound was very good. Distortion was low, and everything sounded crisp without being sibilant. The BDP-83 decodes DTS-HD Master Audio internally, and will deliver the sound through the 7.1 analog pre-outs. Of course, if you have one of the newer receivers with HDMI inputs, you can send your music from CDs, SACDs, DVD-As, SD DVD movies, and Blu-ray movies to the receiver in digital format.
We went through several movies, but also some SACD and DVD-A, and the player handled all of them without a hitch. The analog outputs had more noise than the HDMI connection, but that is to be expected, since analog cables pick up noise along the way from the player to the processor. Although you can select bitstream or PCM for the various media through the HDMI connection, and there are some measurable differences I didn't hear and difference between them. However, SACDs and DVD-As both sounded more detailed than CDs but the difference between the high rez formats and CDs is more dramatic and noticeable.
7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio is the codec. I am delighted that we finally have players, processors, receivers, AND the movies with the high rez codecs.
The sound is just breathtaking.

Amazing picture, amazing sound, fast loading times, smooth film-like motion, no artifacts...
Love this thing. Sure no Internet streaming stuff but now that TV's, DVRs, and other devices have all this I would much rather spend my $$ on quality picture and sound than have another means to do something that 2 other of my devices do just fine.
