Digital camera reviews of Olevia 332H 32-Inch LCD HD Ready MonitorDigital camera Review: almost perfect Summary: 4 Stars
After diddling around with the buying decision forever, I finally found the offer I couldn't refuse: a refurbished 332H for $450 including shipping. #1, the tv is aesthetically more pleasing then I thought it would be.......I really haven't seen a more attractive LCD (this model is silver which looks great sitting on a dark wood table). #2, when I'm watching the Discovery Channel HD offerings, I literally cannot imagine a better picture. The NHL playoffs were incredible - hockey would be a much more popular sport if it had always been broadcast in HD.
Problems? Well, I was having trouble turning the thing on. Half the time, one remote click on would give me a darkish screen with a barely visible Olevia logo. Two clicks would always give me a full turn on. I contacted Syntex within the 90 day warranty and they said ship/bring it back for a trade. Since then, however, the problem seems to be going away.......the tv turns on all the time. So am likely to keep it. It is flawless in every other regard.
As far as SD reception....I have the DirectTV HD package, but obviously I receive a lot of SD programming too. With the 332H you are able to crop, stretch or "pillar" the SD screen image, but the only setting I really like is the smallish pillared one.The others are larger, but less crisp. The SD image is very good, but not great. My 34" SD Panasonic provides a much larger and crisper SD image - no getting around that.
But I didn't buy this set to watch SD, and when that special game or movie or nature show is shown in HD you'll be in heaven. Waiting for more HD programming, hopefully without paying extra for everything (that's another discussion focused on squeeze-you-dry providers like DirectTV).
Digital camera Review: great lcd tv for the price Summary: 4 Stars
very satisfied. product came on time. packaging was very good. installation was easy too as far as hooking up with cable tv. just had to buy a hd cable from radioshack.
however i am yet to connect my laptop to the tv. cause it does not support s-video and requires a vga cable. i ordered a std vga cable but this tv requires a male to male vga cable. looking for an adapter to use the cable i bought. got lazy to return and change it.
the picture quality is pretty good and so is the sound. the tv also looks great in the living room. i could not figure out how to bring sub-titles. All in all this tv does pretty good for its price.
Digital camera Review: not so impressed Summary: 3 Stars
after reading the highly rated reviews for this product, I went in to a circuit city store and viewed this baby. I was not very impressed with the quality of the image. three screens down from this baby was the samsung 32 inch version of their LCD flat screen. the samsung was must brighter and cleaner than was the Olevia. the price was $400 more. but, if you want to view a great picture on a flatscreen display, then get the best picture.

This is a very nice TV. Problem-free. No hassle to hook-up.
Digital camera Review: olevia 32" hdtv Summary: 4 Stars
Great price, great look. The tv however, has a couple problems.
1. Often times the volume abruptly mutes without notice and requires us to restart the TV in order to regain the sound.
2. Also, sometimes when you attempt to turn the tv on, the screen does not show a picture. In order to get a picture, we must again restart the TV.
It's kind of annoying, and may be an indication of a larger problem, but I'm no tv expert so take these comments at your own discretion.
Overall, however, I'm satisfied with the product.
