I bought this little recorder to take to violin lessons and record new songs played by my instructor - allowing me to then bring it home and practice. The quality of sound was my biggest concern and after using it I found this to not be a problem. Sounds works well. It is easy to record and play back. I haven't tried uploading anything yet. To see this gem, it's hard to believe it's strenths. I use it to record the two bands I rehearse with. This voice recorder from olympus is indeed the best. Offers great quality of recording with plenty of features. I especially like the fact that it has presets for timer recordings, which means that it starts operation when you need it to without exposing the device. Now i can record my classes easily: the stereo mic has an astonishing pick up and the batteries seem to last forever.
In addition, it comes with a program that allows you to edit the sound files. This way you can eliminate the parts of the recording that you are not interested in while keeping only the valuable content.

This is my first digital voice recorder. I'm a psychologist and use it for recording therapy sessions. It's great for doing supervision with trainees as well. Simply awesome. I love it!
