Digital camera Review: Great even with the mishap

Did not receive product in a reasonable time, But due to postal error, not the fault of the sender. so I gave the seller 5 stars. The product is as describe. Only complaint is, we were not informed of the item being returned to the sender. We initated our concerns after the proper waiting time. In their defense when we made contact they immediately send the item at their own expense and appreciate that fact. Sound quality is excellent, and microphone is sensitive enough to pick up anybody speaking in a room speakin in a reasonably loud voice. In High quality recoding (mono) I easily am able to record 12+ hours of lecture. I made it through 48 hours of recording so far on the original battery and is still going strong. USB transfer of files from device is very fast, and the unit can be configured to be seen as a usb microphone, or USB storage device, depending on whether you want to record directly to your hard drive, or record to the flash device, and then copy the files over. My only complaint is that the "folders" for storing sound files, can not really be renamed, for easy sorting of files, so you are stuck with folder "A", "B", "C", "D".Digital camera Review: Great for large rooms

I read some of the reviews before purchasing this recorder and thank everyone who wrote a review. I purchased an eyeglass case to keep it in as someone mentioned and to solve for the handling noise that so many spoke of and encountered myself, I purchase an extension and that solved that problem. The included software comes with a noise reduction/canceling feature that works very well. The other benefit is that it is "Dragon" compatible so that I can print out everything I record. This recorder comes with a very sensitive mic. On the upside this makes it great for recording lectures. On the downside you pick up a lot of ambient when doing so.
The built in voice filter is shockingly effective for lecture play back and really addresses many of the problems with background noise.
The user interface is a bit clunky. Downloading to computer fixes that problem; however, when doing so you give up the background filter!
I appreciate that the files are captured raw and filtered later but it would be great if they could be applied on export as well.
The other problem of note is not being able to resume a stopped recording. You can of course pause a recording, but when one is stopped that's it.
