Digital camera Review: Do You Hear What I Hear?

I got this to record meetings at work. I never knew how much I needed one until after I got it. It arrived in a timely manner. You can figure out how it works by playing with it for about 5 minutes. Granted, I have no experience with the higher priced (quality???) players, I think this one does a fabulous job. I can generally make out everything that is said in a meeting (even the mumblers), no matter the room size. Writing the minutes is a little trickier. It will fastforward/-rewind, but if you accidently press the buttoninstead of hold it, you go back to the beginning. Then you have to guess where you were. Luckily, it comes with a nifty usb port so you just download the file onto your computer. It's much easier to use media player to listen to the files. For one, it is easier to go forward and backwards. Second, the speakers make the audible sound quality much better. Overall, great purchase!Digital camera Review: Does what it was designed to do

My high school son is starting to write sports stories for the local paper. He has to interview participants and then write the quotes as part of his stories. Trying to right the quotes down while doing the interview was of course very difficult. I researched all of the recording devices and narrowed my choice to this one or a sony. Most reviewers liked the regular file system on this unit vs sony and seem to say it was easier to use. My son has found it to be extremely useful. He uses it with every interview and it picks up the voices even with a lot of back ground noise. He can do multiple interviews one right after the other..Digital camera Review: Easy PC compatible DVR

I needed a digital voice recorder to record telephone sessions with a mentor. I wanted to be able to download recordings and play on windows media player or to my mp3 player. This voice recorder is easy to use and the design is simple. Comes with a battery and can record 1~2 hours straight. The battery seems to be able to last pretty long. Sound quality is not bad, though you might have to place it close to the speaker (if you're in a classroom) to record it clearly. Picks up a lot of background noise or maybe I've just set it at the wrong recording mode. The USB cord is pretty short but I have no problem with that as I have a laptop. All in all, pretty nice recorder.
