Digital camera reviews of Olympus M 2 GB xD-Picture Card Flash Memory Card 202170Digital camera Review: I'm not sure why Olympus uses a proprietary card. Summary: 4 Stars
I recently purchased a Olympus digital camera. It had a good price and I knew that Olympus made good products. It was the third digital camera I had bought. My first was a Fuji, my second a Kodak. Both of those used SD cards.
When I opened the box, I then discovered that I would need to use the xd card instead of an SD card.
I'm using the camera--maybe I'll review that as well. Everything is working. But the next time I buy a camera, I will think twice before buying from a company that uses proprietary media. I'd rather have the option of using a cheaper and more available SD card. I don't see any significant differences, other than the fact that the XD chip is not as readily available.
Digital camera Review: Insurance Summary: 3 Stars
I much prefer the CF cards, but the camera has an xD slot so why let it go to waste. Think of it as a reserve tank.
Digital camera Review: It works fine, but it is little obsolete Summary: 4 Stars
This flash memory works fine as well as price is, but it is a little slow and capacity needs to be bigger for today's applications. Unfortunately there is still nothing better for Olympys on the market.
Digital camera Review: It's a memory card. Summary: 3 Stars
I just wish Olympus used a standard HD card to make compatibilty easier. It's alright.
Digital camera Review: It's a memory card... Summary: 4 Stars
It's the only one that works in my Olympus camera. I didn't give it 5 stars because XD cards cost more than comparable flash memory. Booooo, proprietary memory! The card itself is fine though.
