Digital camera Review: Great little mic

I use this for mostly dictation attached to an Olympus WS400 digital recorder. The mic is really great. I was completely surprised at the quality for the price. It picks up so well, that I had to start placing it halfway down my shirt, some distance away, so it wouldn't over-modulate. And that's even after I had set my mic input to dampen the record volume. As with another reviewer I was using a self-powered mic which housed three small batteries and I had a lot of recording to do and didn't want to have to worry about powering the mic, and so purchased this one. With the mic's power derived from the recording unit itself, in this case a dv camcorder, I was free to natter away ad infinitum. The audio was clean and clip-free and so the mic is recommended.
I'm knocking off a star for the silver clip - bizarre they would include a chrome clip on a clip-mic, and also for the lack of cable length (around 3 feet).

I seem to be one of the people that is not using it for a recorder or anything. I actually bought it for gaming... haha and it works pretty good for me. People can hear me and its all good around. I think i look stupid here lol. Anyways i would recommended this to anyone who has headphones but no mic for gaming or anything that needs recording.Digital camera Review: I LOVE THIS THING!!!

This made my digital voice recorder 10x better, it picked up the sound much clearer and from farther away. I use this for college and so sometimes i sit in the back and sometimes in the front but i couldn't use my Digital Voice recorder w/o this. Highly RecommenedDigital camera Review: I think its OK

The price is reasonable.
I did not get a good recording where I initially wanted to do it, such as in class or in a piano practice room, but it's probably because of my fault, since in class I couldn't place the microphone right in front of the instructor. Also, the practice room is small so that sound reflects too much. In addition, the rocorder I use is Olympus VN-2100, which might not be a perfect recorder.
Still, I can't find a good digital voice recorder with a microphone that records better than my old SONY Mini-Disk rocorder/player with no external microphone. WHY....?
