Whether your a ghost hunter or a student this is a great microphone to have. If your into Paranormal activity I recommend some kind of external microphone so why not add this one to your collection? It has been proven that you can get better EVP's with an external microphone than without. The external microphone helps amplify the noises so you can tell if it was someone, something or nothing, so go get one today, why not start with this one? I have 21 different microphones in my arsenal and this is one of the easiest and useful ones I have!

The delivery was quick and the service great. The product itself was brand new so there was no quality issue. The problem was my failure to do proper research. The microphone records in mono only, (not stereo).
In addition, the quality was no better than using the DVR without the microphone. Maybe if I was farther away or in a bigger room it may be of some benefit. In any case, the money wasted was my fault alone and not that of the vendor.

I use it for recording lectures in law school. Significantly better than the built in mic in my laptop, however it doesn't blow me away. This is a most worthwhile accessory for a digital video camera like the Kodak Zi8 that has a jack for direct attachment of an external microphone. It improves the audio quality quite a bit.
