Digital camera reviews of Olympus STRAP FLOAT ORANGE

Digital camera Review: A life preserver for your camera
Summary: 5 Stars

If you plan on bringing any camera into the water (pool, ocean, lake, stream, pond, etc...) you NEED this strap. It is bright so you can see where it is floating and you also do not have to worry about dropping your camera and having it sink to the bottom of the ocean. This of this strap as an insurance policy.

Digital camera Review: A must have for swimmers
Summary: 5 Stars

I am a Coast Guard swimmer. I attached this strap to my Olympus camera then tethered the camera with a small line to my wrist. While on a swim drill I released the camera. The strap float performed as advertised. I now feel comfortable with no tether.

Digital camera Review: Absolutely perfect - Just what I wanted
Summary: 5 Stars

I hiked my camera through rivers and off of waterfalls without worry.
I have used this strap with both the Olympus Stylus Tough 6020 and the 8010. Once I had someone throw camera into the water from off of a 25 foot cliff down to where I was. The camera strap barely went below the surface. I would definitely recommend getting this strap for your waterproof camera.

Digital camera Review: As advertised
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this strap to use with my Panasonic Lumix DMC - TS1 waterproof 12 MP camera. The float is of good quality and I've used it in the ocean several times. The strap floats this camera very well. I have taken it snorkeling in Hawaii many times and even with the surf bouncing the camera around, I'm not worried about it sinking.

My only complaint is this... The actual black cord that goes through the eyelet on the camera is so small that the cord must be small to fit through the hole. I've pulled pretty hard on the cord and buckle assembly to test it before I trust my camera to it and it feels very strong. However, the buckle has such small tabs that must be pressed to release the float from the 2 inch cord that stays on the camera, that it can be a bit tricky. That's not so bad. I feel very secure that it won't come apart by accident while swimming.

Overall, I'd buy it again and recommend it.

Digital camera Review: Better safe than sorry!
Summary: 3 Stars

We purchased the strap float for a whitewater rafting trip that we took in Colorado this Summer. It didn't get tested, but I wouldn't have taken the camera out on the river without it.

The transaction with this vendor was okay. The price was right & the deliery was relatively fast, but the communication was non-existent.
