I saw this product in the store and really liked it but didn't like the price. So getting it off Amazon saved me money. I really like how I don't have to worry about my camera sinking when using it in the water. It really does float. Easy to use and take off when not wanting it on the camera. This strap floats my Olympus 6000 EASILY. I am extremely rough with most of my gear since I take my kayak out in both salt and fresh water about 3 times a week. I dropped my camera from about 3 feet above the water and the float strap didn't even submerge. The clip is very sturdy and does not look like it will fail, but I still take precautions and tie the lanyard to the float strap above the plastic clip as a backup. Good buy and not too bad of a price. The only suggestion I would give to Olympus is to put a strip of reflective tape on a portion of the strap in case it gets lost at sea in the dark. This is a totally revised review. I tested the strap with a 6.7 Ounce Panasonic Lumix DMC TS2 waterproof camera and the strap easily floated it with most of the floats still out of the water. I would be cautious in heavy waves or rapids.
