I bought the camera for the better zoom and rechargable battery. Awsome performance best zoom I have ever had. Can take almost 100 pictures on a single charge thats even with using the flash. Get features and tutorials to help you use the camera to its peak performance. I have used Olympus cameras my whole life and have not had the issues that I have with this camera. After one year it went freaky - making the pictures over saturated with red & purple lines after a few seconds of being on. I now have to send it to their repair center for evaluation. It better not cost me a penny, since it seems to be an issue with the picture program function in the camera.
Olympus always made quality products, but lately it seems they are dropping the quality ball. It seems they are trying to add to many frills without the quality to back it up.
